Welcome to a our site, representing a business that has been operating in Athens, Greece since 2004.
We are a rapidly growing company importing handicrafts, furniture, Indonesian batik paintings, statues, pottery, original art and cloth from Indonesia. We are currently operating from a retail outlet in a suburb of Athens and already have plans for another shop, which is currently under construction. My name is Martyn Sands, a UK citizen, and I have been residing in Greece for the last 9 years. My winters have been spent in South East Asia though and a love of the area has stimulated me to open a business here in Athens, selling primarily Indonesian products with a huge variety of Indonesian batik paintings. As one of the very few businesses in Greece with the necessary contacts and resources to import Asian art and home decoration successfully from the region, Unique Batiks is already processing considerable interest with regards to wholesale supplying of Indonesian products and Indonesian batik paintings throughout Greece. All our products are produced by hand and the Indonesian suppliers carefully chosen from the many village producers to ensure quality. As you browse through the site you will see numerous pictures of various products being made and also Indonesian batik techniques. You will also see the huge range of products available. At the moment we have no intention to sell individual items via the webpage but naturally invite anyone to contact us for further information regarding any aspect of this site. A selection of the products can be seen at our retail outlet, plus a huge array of online art - Indonesian batik paintings. Bulk purchases and wholesale enquiries should also be made through this site by email, and an estimate of prices and time of delivery will be sent to you.
